News Makers: Umoja Stories of Success

The 2013 Spring Fling, News Makers: Umoja Stories of Success was a fantastic event and a great evening for everyone involved!
More than 300 people came out to Galleria Marchetti to celebrate Umoja's achievements with our students, teachers, friends, alumni and more! This year's event was the most successful to date in terms of attendance and fundraising. Thank you for your support and for your continued dedication to Umoja.

Some of the evening's highlights include:
- A moving speech from Event Honoree, Eric Salzman, about his work in the news world and his deep relationship with Umoja throughout the years.
- An energetic live auction featuring one-of-a-kind trips and adventures to Louisville, Aspen, France and more!
- An inspirational testimonial from Raymond Wilson, an Umoja alumnus, about his experience with the organization and the doors Umoja opened for him in terms of college opportunities.
- An engaging fundraising campaign that enlisted the help of everyone in the room to raise money for Umoja college trips this spring.
