Training Educators Across Chicago PD_-_photo_1.JPG

Umoja’s high-impact programs and quality curriculum have made us a leader in Chicago in Social Emotional Learning, College & Career Readiness, and Restorative Justice. We are extremely proud to be an on-the-ground program partner at 13 Chicago public high schools this year, and the demand for our proven program model and curriculum continues to grow. Over the last two years, the professional development wing of our work has greatly expanded, and our staff has traveled to all corners of Chicago and the suburbs to train and coach educators in the Umoja model and best practices.

Engaging, high quality, and relevant professional development. Workshop topics span the three pillars of Umoja's work: Restorative Justice, Social Emotional Learning (SEL) principles, and postsecondary practices.

Curriculum:

Aligned with all relevant state and national standards, Umoja's classroom-tested, high engagement curriculum supports social and emotional learning and restorative disciplinary interventions.

Customized Support:

No two schools are alike. Our team tailors a variety of supports to align with school goals and structures. We partner with administrators, faculty, and staff to build individualized training based on a school's needs.
