Megan Delaney Restorative Justice Manager | Site: Morgan Park HS & Academic Center

Meg (she/her/hers) joined Umoja in 2015 and has spent 10+ years working in schools and education. 

Megan spent two years teaching high school Spanish on the north side of St. Louis. While in St. Louis, Megan obtained her master's degree in Secondary Education from the University of Missouri-St. Louis. Megan then returned to her roots in Chicago and taught for five years at an all-male charter school in the Englewood community. There she was the department chair as well as the senior class advisor. She was recognized as teacher of the year in 2014. While teaching, Megan obtained her master's degree in Social Work from the University of Chicago School of Social Service Administration. Upon obtaining her social work degree, Megan transitioned out of the classroom and began working as Restorative Justice Specialist with Umoja, now serving as a Restorative Justice Manager. Megan supports Morgan Park HS and Academic Center through a RJ Partnership. She began her career with Umoja as a Specialist at John Hope College Prep. 

Meg and her husband welcomed their daughter, Winnie, into the world on October 23, 2019!
